Varun joins the lab!

Varun joins the lab as a PhD student in Geospatial Analytics studying flood impacts on rice in Bangladesh. Varun has already published on flood mapping in Kerala India using Sentinel-1 data, and also won a poster competition for his work on “Evaluation of Spectral Reconstruction Approach for Mineral and Snow Grain Size Mapping.”

“Flood inundation mapping- Kerala 2018; Harnessing the power of SAR, automatic threshold detection method and Google Earth Engine” was published in PLOS ONE in August 2020.
